Camera Management
See the room. Govern the picture.
Vantage makes a camera a governed resource, not a URL in a browser tab. Define cameras on your networks with credentials held in a managed store, set how each picture travels with versioned Stream Policies, and let only entitled people or AI agents watch, move or capture them. Live video plays in the browser with no plugin, and every look and every pan leaves an audit record.
Most camera systems stop at role or site permissions. Vantage makes each camera a governed resource: nobody watches until granted the right to, credentials stay in a managed store, access can be revoked instantly, and every look and every pan leaves an audit record. It works alongside the recorders you already run.
- Add cameras with credentials kept in your managed secret store, never typed into a field
- Set quality, protection, and delivery with versioned Stream Policies
- Watch live in the browser, with pan, zoom, and saved positions where the camera supports them
- Build camera walls on a Hive canvas
- Let an AI agent watch under the same grants and approvals a person needs
What you get
What Vantage gives your team.
Cameras with sealed credentials
Define a camera by name with its address and sign-in held in a managed credential store, and test reachability before anyone presses Watch.
Stream Policies for every picture
Govern quality, protection, delivery, local recording, retention and motion events with named, versioned policies that apply only when deliberately put into effect.
Live viewing with camera control
Watch live in the browser with an automatic fallback path, and pan, zoom or jump to saved positions wherever the camera supports it.
Watching is a separate grant
Nobody watches by default. The right to watch and the right to control are per-camera grants, and revoking one ends a watch in progress.
Snapshots and motion alerts
Keep encrypted snapshots stamped with who took them, and forward the camera's own motion events to subscriptions, notification policies and automations.
Audited AI monitoring
Let an agent list, watch and take stills under the same grants a person needs, or schedule unattended checks that alert you when something turns up.
How it works
- 1
Define the camera
Add a camera on a network by name, with its address and sign-in held in a managed credential store, then run a connectivity test through the network's own relay before anyone presses Watch.
- 2
Set a Stream Policy
Choose quality, uplink, protection, viewer delivery, local recording, retention and motion events in a named, versioned policy. A new version applies only when you deliberately put it into effect.
- 3
Grant watch and control
Extend the right to watch, and separately the right to control, to people one camera at a time, inside or outside the organization. No role carries either right by default.
- 4
Watch, capture, review
Watch live in the browser, pan and zoom, and take snapshots. Each watch is a governed session with a tamper-evident record, and revoking access ends it immediately. A dashboard shows who is watching.
Ask AI about Vantage
Every Vantage page has an Ask AI button. It opens a chat that already has the page, its rows, and your selection. Try asking:
- Which Stream Policies on this page keep local recording on, and what retention does each set?
- Which cameras here failed their last reachability check?
- Which of these cameras forward motion events?
How teams use it
- Give a site manager live access to one building's cameras without exposing a stream address.
- Show a wall of live cameras next to the alerts and devices that matter during an incident.
- Run scheduled AI checks on a loading dock and alert the owner when something looks wrong.
